29-Inch Wheel (29ers)
$2,699.00
A little bit (cross) country. A little bit rock and roll. The Joplin is a bit of an XC wild child, a light bike that’s heavy on capability with a “let’s go” attitude to any trail.
Let’s go fast. Let’s go far. Let’s go until your legs are ready to give up, and then go some more. Let’s make every second count. Let’s carve rides out of busy days and put those lines on the map on your done list.
The Joplin’s lean frame and 29-inch wheels float over washboard bumps with the same ease it devours jagged ledges. A geometry bred for long days in the saddle is blended with 130mm of travel in the front and 120mm in the rear, creating a capable climber that doesn’t flinch when roots get ragged and rocks start to roll. The lower link VPP suspension offers a responsive pedaling platform that’s ready to get up and go the moment you are. Whether you’re flossing rock gardens or making the rider in front of you your next hare, the Joplin is one rapid trail fox that will take you farther than you thought you could and give you the confidence to go bigger than you thought you would.
With a size range that starts at XS, this bike brings big-wheel benefits to those of us in the fun-size category, too. And yes, every size in the line fits a water bottle inside the main triangle because XS doesn’t mean “do things by half”. Tying up the package is a range of component builds that weave the line between fun and fast, creating a bike that’s ready to race the distance or just race the clouds home.
So, what are you waiting for? Let’s go!

You can’t define the Maverick in just one line.
You’re not here to be whatever somebody else thinks you should be... and neither is the Maverick.
You’re here to get down. You’re here to go fast. Not fast for a girl. Just damn fast. So is the Maverick. Did someone say smile more? No problem. Tell ‘em to look closer as you set your quads on fire churning up the last brutal climb that makes the downhill taste that much sweeter. When you live for that magical space between pleasure and pain, the Maverick is the bike that won’t say no when you say yes.
With 140mm of supportive rear travel complimented by 150mm of front suspension and obstacle-eating 29" wheels, this bike isn’t measured by what it can do. It’s measured by what’s left to do.
The lower link VPP suspension soaks up big bumps with a pedal-efficient design that’s easy to tune exactly how you want it. Whether you’re hauling down root waterfalls, biting into big ledges, or soaking up the chatter, the Maverick isn’t here to tell you how to ride — she enables you to ride wherever you decide.
Want to change the geometry? The integrated flip chip means all you have to do is grab an Allen key and, in under a minute, you can slacken the headtube and drop the bottom bracket for an extra-planted feel no matter how steep the descent gets.
Every size frame fits a water bottle inside the front triangle. After all, some days are made for riding lean. Other days are made for dusk-to-dawn solo sojourns that require an extra bottle in addition to a rucksack.
It’s time to escape the shoulda’s and the coulda’s. Write your own rules and explore trails until you run out of water or daylight (whichever comes last). The Maverick is just the pen.

If ever there was a gravity riders’ XC bike, the Tallboy is it.
The new 120mm Tallboy takes a leap further into what short-travel bikes really are capable of. With kick-ass lower-link VPP suspension, a streamlined design, the typical Santa Cruz refinement, and rather radical geometry, the Tallboy is back to being a genre-bending folk hero.
Sure, 10mm more travel might only seem like one small step—but coupled with a lower link-driven VPP suspension design, this is one giant leap for the Tallboy.
It’s the kind of bike that makes you sprint while going up, along, over, or down due to the maximum efficiency of the VPP design and responsive, lightweight chassis. But, because it shares the same engineering principles as our longest travel bikes, the progressive lower link-mounted shock feels equally at home doing cross-country as it does in extreme-country. Paired with a 130mm fork, the new Tallboy becomes ever more appealing to riders who like to open it up.
And, the geometry, that's a big part of what's going on...
Established theory suggests shorter travel bikes get ridden slower, therefore require steeper and more conservative geometries. In reality though, when was the last time you ever throttled back on a fun trail because you weren’t on a bigger bike? Knowing your answer, we mimicked our longer travel geometry to create a bike with a 65.5-degree head-angle, generous front center, and short-offset fork, something rarely seen on a bike of this ilk.
And, the radical thinking doesn’t stop there. The Tallboy’s short-short 430mm chainstays have +/- 10mm of rear axle adjustment to ensure riders of all sizes and styles feel equally at home. Match that to a relatively low BB (335mm and 37.5mm drop), and you’ve got a combo that’s ready to haul into every pocket turn and launch out the other side.

The tin lizard has ascended the evolutionary ladder and is now a fully-imagined carbon fiber creature. It’s Darwinism in action.
We took the fun-loving, shreddy spirit and adjustability of the beloved aluminum Chameleon and added a lighter, faster, more advanced version of the species. It’s a do-it-all hardtail that is as happy making the most of backyard booter (mis)adventures as it is fully-loaded with camp gear and a color-matched dangle mug.
Two bottle cage mounts, including a triple-bolt cargo cage mount under the downtube mean you can escape from the crowds, too.

Light enough to scorch hot laps and tough enough to endure a long-distance beating, the Blur does it all without compromise. No matter how demanding your next XC endeavor, the Blur is ready to go full gas, 24/7.
Make no mistake, at just 2060g, this is our lightest-ever 100mm full suspension frame. The ultra efficient VPP suspension design, complemented by a dual remote lockout and super stiff carbon frame, means you’ve got more thrust-on-demand than SpaceX.
The one-piece carbon VPP rear triangle shares a similar twin upright architecture to our World Cup-winning downhill bikes. Paired with a one-piece carbon front-end it delivers a lateral stiffness and tracking ability you just don’t see on featherweight bikes of this genre.
Confidence-inspiring geometry and components worth their salt allow you to shoot through those sketchy overtaking lines that are the difference between getting on the podium or ‘winning’ the wooden spoon.

The ultimate power-wheeling, bump-chewing sidekick.
The Megatower is the fusion of big wheels and the biggest-hitting suspension system. It’s a modern day brawler, as suited to diehard racers as it is to riders wanting to conquer their hometown trails.
Tracing its roots to the Hightower, and now featuring the lower link-driven VPP suspension derived from the V10, the Megatower is the most capable, confidence-inspiring 29er trail bike in Santa Cruz's line-up. The lower-link mounted shock configuration — designed for compatibility with both air and coil shocks — provides a progressive shock rate that has unmatched traction and bottom-out resistance, making it ideal for taming the longest descents and rowdiest hits.
In order to make the Megatower stride confidently across the globe, it has an enormous amount of clever adjustability hidden in its bones. A tidy and concealed flip chip in the lower-link adjusts bottom bracket height and changes progressivity of the rear suspension. A second modular point in the rear dropouts allows for a 10mm fore-aft adjustment in chainstay length to dial in the rider’s rearward weight distribution — either set for play or for stability. The flip chips are a robust mechanism for riders looking to tune their ride according to their needs without compromising reliability and durability. No wackadoo mousetraps and frail proprietary shocks here.
The Megatower isn’t all fight and fury, it’s smart and savvy too. It has a sharp, 76-degree seat tube angle for winching to the top of the kinds of descents where having a roomier cockpit and a 65-degree head tube angle will come in handy. And you can still carry around a full water bottle inside the frame (even with a piggyback shock), and the frame is well protected with a shock fender, shuttle guard, downtube protector, and ribbed chainstay protector.

Tracing its roots to the Hightower, and now featuring the lower link-driven VPP suspension derived from the V10, the Megatower is the most capable, confidence-inspiring 29er trail bike in our line-up. The lower-link mounted shock configuration — designed for compatibility with both air and coil shocks — provides a progressive shock rate that has unmatched traction and bottom out resistance, making it ideal for taming the longest descents and rowdiest hits.
In order to make the Megatower stride confidently across the globe, it has an enormous amount of clever adjustability hidden in its bones. A tidy and concealed flip chip in the lower-link adjusts bottom bracket height and changes progressivity of the rear suspension. A second, in the rear dropouts, allows for a 10mm fore-aft adjustment in chainstay length to dial in the rider’s rearward weight distribution — either set for play or for stability.
And, you can still carry around a full water bottle inside the frame (even with a piggyback shock), and the frame is well protected with a shock fender, shuttle guard, downtube protector, and ribbed chainstay protector.

Speaking of color-matched, the carbon chameleon features custom blue Hope hubs and headset on the SE kit making this reptile stand out from the crowd. Two bottle cage mounts, including a triple-bolt cargo cage mount under the downtube mean you can escape from the crowds, too.
The Chameleon changes to suit its environment. Twenty-niner or 27-plus, geared or single-speed, this adaptable hardtail utilizes a suite of simple, swappable dropouts to convert it from aggro trail charger to single-speed racer to husky bikepacking mule, or anything in between.
Depending on setup and skill level, the Chameleon is capable on a wide range of terrain—aggressive trail riding to jump lines to all-around use. Going for maximum speed and rollability? Go 29er. Riding mostly loose terrain? Get some Plus tires that provide traction for days.
The most versatile bike in our range ticks even more boxes.

The Tallboy cuts a whole new swath across the trail bike landscape.
The Santa Cruz Tallboy muddles the line between XC and trail with 110mm of rear wheel travel paired with a 120mm Fox 34 Performance fork. Fast-rolling Race Face ARC 29er wheels wrapped in front- and rear-specific Maxxis tires come stock, or you can upgrade to Santa Cruz’s own Reserve carbon rims for the ultimate do-anything wheelset. The Tallboy climbs almost as well as a straight-up cross-country bike, due in part to the 12 wide-ranging gears from SRAM’s GX Eagle drivetrain. But it shows its true colors when the trail turns downward, where SRAM Level TL brakes put precise control and reliable power at your fingertips and the brilliantly simple yet effective suspension design keeps you glued to your line without weighing you down. The Tallboy’s short-travel chassis gives it scalpel-like handling while maintaining tremendous trail capability. At first glance, 110mm of travel might seem like it’ll get overwhelmed on technical trails, but 110mm of travel designed and tuned by the experts at Santa Cruz will usher you through some pretty fast, hairy terrain long before waving the white flag, delivering the descending goods for a fraction of the climbing costs.
$4,899.00
Stretching its legs to a full 150mm of VPP travel, the Hightower LT was created to the meet demands of the Santa Cruz Enduro World Series race team and designed for maximum speed in big terrain. Matched with a 150mm fork, the 29in-wheeled LT is traveled-up and pared-down for pure performance.
The Hightower LT Carbon C S build features a great selection of components designed for the rigors of trail use. SRAM's GX Eagle drivetrain and Code R brakes offer seamless shifting and precise braking control, and a tubeless-ready Race Face wheelset wrapped in Maxxis Minion tires puts down meaty traction for dependable grip at speed. For even better acceleration and response upgrade to the Santa Cruz Reserve 30 Carbon wheelset and crush your personal bests everywhere you ride. Suspension travel is controlled by a Fox 36 fork and Fox Float DPS shock, offering a stiff chassis with big-hit chops. A Race Face cockpit, RockShox Reverb Stealth seatpost, and WTB Silverado Pro saddle finish the build.
From the Chilean Andes to the French Alps, across the pond to the Coastal Range of British Columbia and back to the seashore of Finale Ligure, this is the race-ready weapon that SC's enduro team choose for every contest on their globe-trotting quest for podiums (and good times).
$4,899.99
The Santa Cruz Hightower brings versatility and brawn to the game while hitting a sweet spot for aggressive trail riding. It sports 135mm of rear travel, fast-rolling 29er wheels, and a 67-degree head angle. The Hightower gives you the extra bit of confidence to let off the brakes and let 'er rip through the rough stuff. It feels well-balanced in the air and corners like a champ. At the same time, it has impeccable trail manners and pedals efficiently, so you won’t get that ‘too much bike’ feeling if you end up doing an extra lap or pushing your ride further into the hills.
The C S build elevates your game on the trail. Its carbon C frame is of the same pedigree that proved carbon’s place in the world of mountain biking, offering unmatched durability and reliability. The S build comes stock with burly Race Face ARC rims laced to DT 350 hubs for a tough, smooth-spinning wheelset that lowers rotating mass. But, you can also upgrade to Santa Cruz’s Reserve carbon wheels, unrivaled in the world of carbon mountain wheels. A 140mm Fox 36 Float fork and a Fox DPS shock pair well with Santa Cruz's VPP suspension. You’ll appreciate the SRAM GX Eagle drivetrain’s massive 12-gear range and crisp shifts, allowing exploration of the steepest, most technical terrain out there. The Hightower’s SRAM Guide R brakes take no shortcuts to deliver high-power and precise control. The WTB saddle and RockShox Reverb stealth dropper put you in control in myriad riding scenarios, all with clean lines and lightweight performance.

Fully dialed at every size: Proportional Geometry and frame stiffness tune.
Chainstay length and seat angle are matched to the frame size (STA steepens and rear center grows as frame size increases) so that every rider, no matter what height, gets the same balance of geometry and handling characteristics.
We tailor stiffness for every size to ensure everyone gets the same ride quality. Bigger riders mean greater stresses on larger frames, but that's remedied with our size-specific frame stiffness tunes.
- VPP™
VPP™ stands for virtual pivot point - an engineering principal synonymous with high performance that spans from short travel platforms like the Tallboy right up to our DH World Cup-winning V10.
- 120mm VPP™ Travel
Some call 120mm "short travel", others call it all the travel you'll need. The Tallboy is an efficient XC pedaler with a geo and shock tune that makes it way more capable than the millimeters suggest.
- Snappy Suspension
The Tallboy has a lower starting ratio and an increased ending ratio of the leverage curve. This makes it really sensitive further into the travel and helps the bike ride higher in its stroke, producing a more responsive, snappy feel.
- Bump Buster
Significantly reducing peak anti-squat (over previous generations of the Tallboy), has improved both small bump sensitivity and square-edge compliance. And, because anti-squat values trend with ant-rise, we were also able to reduce the anti-rise to improve the braking sensitivity.
- Glovebox: Always Within Reach
Place your ride essentials securely in the Tallboy's downtube. The Glovebox comes with a fitted Tool Wallet and Tube Purse, tailored for the frame to keep your tools close to hand.

At the 2017 World Cup season opener in Lourdes, Loris Vergier, Luca Shaw, and Greg Minnaar qualified 1, 3, and 6 aboard the ‘controversy machine’—a V10 with a new swingarm rolling on 29-inch wheels.
The clouds broke open before the top qualifiers, soaking the track, and the question of technological supremacy would have to wait…for five weeks, when Greg Minnaar climbed to the top step at Ft. William for the seventh time.
Over the next winter, using what we learned during the 2017 race season, we set about designing an entirely new V10—longer reach, better shock rate, and better frame and cable protection. All three frame sizes (and Reserve carbon DH wheels) were designed and manufactured in time for a week of testing before the Ft. William World Cup in 2018. Greg crashed in those sessions, breaking his arm, and effectively ending his season. A few days later, Luca qualified first and Loris third on the new bike. Loris put down a scorcher in the finals that only fellow Frenchman Amaury Pierron could top, but Luca flatted high on course and had to cruise down.
The new school had arrived, and they had new wheels. Testing continued throughout the 2018 season, usually in the form of link sets designed to tweak the shock rate or make minor alterations in geometry. We had the big variables figured out, but fine-tuning the suspension under the Syndicate during World Cup season guaranteed regular, high-level feedback and lots of high-stakes puzzling. The result is perhaps the most refined suspension performance available outside of a World Cup pit.
That brings us to now—kind of.
Pairing 29-inch wheels with 215mm of travel makes a juggernaut of a race bike, but racing isn’t everything. Depending on the type of trails or riding style you’re into, breaking out the biggest artillery might not be ideal. Rider height also looms large when deciding which wheel size is optimal and a lot of people may opt for smaller wheels.
So we decided to make a 27.5 V10, too.
No compromises, no gimmicks, no shortcuts—it was designed in parallel to the 29er V10 as an original suspension platform and chassis. The 27.5 bike comes in Small, Medium, and Large, while the 29 comes in Medium, Large, and XL. Make your choice according to your size or riding style, and you’ll be the recipient of every bit of work and puzzling that’s gone into the Syndicate’s race bikes.
The most successful bike in downhill history shows no signs of slowing down.

And, you can still carry around a full water bottle inside the frame (even with a piggyback shock), and the frame is well protected with a shock fender, shuttle guard, downtube protector and ribbed chainstay protector.

The Megatower is the fusion of big wheels and the biggest-hitting suspension system. It’s a modern day brawler, as suited to diehard racers as it is to riders wanting to conquer their hometown trails.
Tracing its roots to the Hightower, and now featuring the lower link-driven VPP suspension derived from the V10, the Megatower is the most capable, confidence-inspiring 29er trail bike in our line-up. The lower-link mounted shock configuration – designed for compatibility with both air and coil shocks – provides a progressive shock rate that has unmatched traction and bottom out resistance, making it ideal for taming the longest descents and rowdiest hits.
In order to make the Megatower stride confidently across the globe it has an enormous amount of clever adjustability hidden in its bones. A tidy and concealed flip chip in the lower-link adjusts bottom bracket height and changes progressivity of the rear suspension. A second, in the rear dropouts, allows for a 10mm fore-aft adjustment in chainstay length to dial in the rider’s rearward weight distribution - either set for play or for stability.

Trail-ready, Upgrade-ready
The secret to Marlin's popularity is a real trail-savvy mountain bike frame that's upgrade compatible, so it can grow with you as you take on bigger trails and tougher features.
Roll stronger with Thru Skew
Goodbye open dropouts. The Thru Skewer is a better, stronger, more precisely aligned rear wheel retention system that keeps your wheel more secure than quick-release skewers while still using the standard 135mm rear hub spacing.
