The new Record 12x2 Speed crankset: a new hole-free design for the right-hand crank that optimizes aerodynamics. The new carbon fiber Record 12x2 Speed crankset with unidirectional finishing guarantees continuity with the finishing of the entire groupset, whilst maintaining the Ultra-Torque bracket system on the steel axle to ensure perfect transmission of power. The new Record 12x2 Speed crankset can be installed on any type of frame, whether or not it is being used with disc brakes because it optimizes the chain line on the frame with a rear hub flange measuring 130, 135 or 142 millimeters without affecting the Q factor that remains constant at 145.5 millimeters. The innovative design of the outer chainring ensures faster, quieter derailing owing to the contoured pin. The symmetrical design of the inner chainring teeth allows improved stability with chain crossovers. The double wheel sizing standards (112 and 145 millimeters) enable reducing the weight through greater use of carbon fiber. There are eight fixing screws for increased structural stiffness. The varying number of pins for each of the three chainring combinations (34/50, 36/52, 39/53) facilitates upshifting due to the optimized free strokes associated with each combination. The special drains on the inside of the outer chainrings optimize performance when downshifting in dead spots.

All JIS square taper standard cranks are compatible with all BSA European-style square taper bottom brackets. Box Four Cranks feature steel pedal inserts that require pedal washers and external sealed bearing BSA bottom brackets, and both are provided in the box. All Box One and Two cranksets are engineered and crafted using our Oversized Technology. we all know that there is no use pushing hard on your pedals if you can’t deliver most of that power to the rear wheel. During the creation of our cranks, we were obsessed with Power delivery AKA pedaling stiffness. To reduce lateral deflection at the bottom bracket we chose to enlarge the spindle and the crank arm’s interfaces. We robbed material from unloaded sections to reinforce these zones of high stress. Not only are you going to be more efficient with power delivery, but you’ll also feel the instant response of acceleration. Seen through another lens, less energy will be required to achieve the same elapsed time. Key differences: The Box One M30 crankset is just as tyrannical as its big brother the Box One M35. Since it's designed for the smaller rider the now 30mm spindle is as extreme to a smaller rider as the 35mm is to a burly world champion. The crank arms are hollow-forged but reduced in size for their application. It is possible to add too much stiffness where the rider will not feel the benefits. Going beyond that point simply adds material which is surplus weight. We’ve removed the stabilizer rings from the spider and removed unneeded material from its legs. These cranks are engineered for smaller-sized racers. The Box Two M30-P crankset is a slightly less acute embodiment of our Oversized technology for cranksets. We squeeze in a show-stopping Praxis™ made 30mm that’s been cold-forged from 7075 T6 aluminum and then painstakingly ground to precision. You’ll be relieved to know this will all fit in a European bottom bracket. The crank arms and spider are poached from the Box One M35 model and as a result, you get all that hollow-forged generosity to help you put that power down.
