Shop the Cervelo Caledonia

$4,300.00
The Caledonia-5 was inspired by our own out-the-front-door rides and built for the way we ride bikes. You could call it an "all road" or "endurance" bike, but when it comes right down to it, the Caledonia is the bike we keep reaching for when we know the odometer’s going well past the triple-digit mark. Long rides invariably have some smooth tarmac, some junk pavement over backroads, a cutty singletrack connector, and maybe even your own local Strade Bianche sector. So we built a bike that could take on all of them, do it well, and fit fenders in case the ominous clouds turn into a downpour 130km into your day. We don’t see road bikes as fragile machines meant only for putting watts into and receiving speed from. They’re an extension of our soul, of the way we want to see our worlds, and the lives we want to live. Sometimes that means cutting across park grass, and sometimes it’s seeing where that dirt road off to the left leads you. The Caledonia-5 is a bike for the modern road rider. Aero Cable Management The Cervelo frame, fork, handlebars, and associated components are designed to hide brake and shift control lines (mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic) from the wind for improved aerodynamics, without sacrificing usability or performance. Performance Fit The Caledonia’s integrated stem and two bearing cap options allow for stacks ranging between an aggressive 7mm and a relaxed 22mm without the use of spacers. With a wider fit coordinate range (stack) of 580mm to 687mm, the Caledonia can be as low as a slammed R3 or taller than our tallest C3. All while looking and being seamlessly fast in the wind. Integrated Accessory Mounts Integrated mounts enable the use of fenders, lights, and computers without compromising the aerodynamics or structure of your bike. The built-in mount systems provide a simple and clean-looking solution in a lighter weight frame.

Caledonia is a bike for the way riders ride. It’s not a Grand Tour bike, where the skinniest of chubby tires rub the stays, and it’s not a gravel bike butting up against a 1989 MB-1. It’s a bike for the rides that kick off at the cafe, hammer up thoroughfares to get out of town, wind through chip-seal backroads, take that cutty dirt road that links up to the base of the mountain, and then scream downhill back toward home. Caledonia doesn’t fit in a box nicely, and we like it that way. It was conceived on our Thursday night rides—routes that often play fast and loose with 'road ride'. As we tried to stuff bigger tires into our R5s and streamline our Asperos, a new kind of bike was born. Removable FDM Our bolt-on front derailleur mount is made from high strength aluminum alloy and attaches to the frame with two countersunk screws. This allows for easy replacement in the event of damage and enables you to adapt to new standards as they become available or remove the front derailleur mount completely if you choose a 1x system. Integrated Accessory Mounts Integrated mounts enable the use of fenders, lights, and computers without compromising the aerodynamics or structure of your bike. The built-in mount systems provide a simple and clean-looking solution. - Cervelo carbon frame and fork - Shimano Ultegra Di2 drivetrain - Shimano Ultegra flat mount hydraulic disc brakes - DT Swiss E1850 23 Spline wheels
