Careful attention is paid to stiffness at the bottom bracket and head tube to create a climbing and descending weapon. The BBright bottom bracket allows the use of larger seat tube, down tube, and lefthand chain stays, for increased stiffness and pedaling efficiency in a lighter weight frame. You'll feel the bike's rapid acceleration and confidence-boosting handling.

The R2's Squoval Max tubes combine square and oval shapes, to maximize stiffness and aerodynamics while keeping weight low. It utilizes an Elite Fit that offers a wide range of positions for athletes, without compromising handling, comfort, or performance. The R2 features a reliable Shimano 105 drivetrain paired with sturdy Shimano RS100 wheels wrapped in Continental Grand Sport Race 25mm tires. You can run tires up to 28mm wide, for an extra-smooth ride. And, the integrated chain catcher will ensure you won't drop your chain at an inopportune time - like when your friend launches a surprise attack up the hill.
